Mayor Pulido has been happy to participate in Downtown Santa Ana’s 5K run for the last three years.
On, August 20th the Mayor joined 2,000 fellow runners on the 3.1 mile route through Santa Ana’s historic downtown. The race, which began at Fourth Street and Main Street, took runners past beautiful facilities such as the Old County Courthouse, Old City Hall, and the Santa Ana Stadium.
After the 5K run, the streets remained closed for the Ciclovia event where the community walked, ran or biked the route while stopping to visit local eateries, retail establishments and health and wellness booths along the way. Fun fitness activities and entertainment were scheduled throughout the day as well.
The goal of the City of Santa Ana’s Parks, Recreation and Community Services Agency, who coordinated the event, is to promote health, fitness and nutrition through classes, programs, and special events for the community. Mayor Pulido encourages residents to have an active lifestyle and invites everyone to participate in the 4th annual 5K Race on Saturday, October 21, 2017.
